彼女がどうしても見たいと言うので、マイケルの曲はフルで聞いたことが１曲もない俺が見てきた。

いやースゴイわ。映像自体はライブＤＶＤの特典映像レベルなんだけど、もうなんか桁違い。エグザイルでキャーキャー言ってる日本人ってなんなの？て素直に思っちゃうぐらい圧倒的。正直舐めてたよ。ダンスも歌も次元が違いすぎてリハの映像なのに鳥肌立っちまった。マイケルと一緒の舞台に立ちたいと願う人間のコメントとか見ててもコレが本物のカリスマなんだとも思った。

で、なんで日本ではマイケルが若干ネタくさい扱いで馬鹿にしかされないのかってのかが気になった、というか不満になった。

もちろん本国でもパロディはされてるだろうけど、それは超かっこいいというのが認知されてるからこそ成り立つ話であるのに対して、日本ではその前提がマスコミによってあまり作られていないと思う。ただの痛い人。ポウと叫ぶ人。肌が白くなった人。ネバーランドの人。疑惑の人。キングオブポップスとしてまったく扱っていない。死んだ時もスリラーとかのプロモをちょろっと流して、「スキャンダルなどもありましたが世界の宝でした」と取ってつけたようなコメントをつけるだけ。スリラーがスゴイというのは置いておいて、マイケルの話題が出るたびにとりあえずそれを流すっていう姿勢はどうなんだって話だ。すくなくとも俺はいつも流れる映像として処理してたよ。

でも、いや、ホントライブの映像３分でいいから流したら視聴者の評価全然変わるってことぐらい、ホントにマイケルをスゴイと思ってる人ならわかるだろ。俺もマイケルが動き出して３分で全部持ってかれたよ。それともあれか、マイケルをスタンダードにしたら日本のポップスって勝てっこないってわかってるからあんな扱いにしてるの？

とまあ、ニワカ乙としか言いようがないのは重々承知しているが、それぐらい俺にとってはいい経験だった。ドルビーのサウンドシステムで聞くマイケルは事前知識がない俺にでも十分楽しめたよ。あれだけ元気にスクリーンで動いていた人が死んだとか信じられなくなってしまったよ。ＤＶＤになるだろうしそれでもすごいだろうけど、映画館で見れて良かった。

みんなも多くの人は知ってるだろうけど、馬鹿にされてるマイケルじゃなくて、クソかっこいいマイケル見た方がいいよ。
